悲しいことに彼は1999年にバイク事故でこの世を去りました。
私は以前セルジュの指輪を３つ持っていました。
それらは人生の節目の始まりにお祝いとして、貯金して自分に買ったものです。
先月、私はそのうちの１つを仕事中に紛失してしまいました。
とても悲しくて、無くしたという事実すら信じられないほどでした。
同じ指輪を探して、購入したお店を訪ねましたが、お店にはもうそのリングは置いておらず、アトリエ自体がそのデザインを作らなくなっているかもとまで言われました。
店員さんが『お気に入りのアクセサリーを失くすということは、そのアクセサリーが悪い運を持って行ってくれるからだ』と優しい言葉をくれたので、もう諦めようかと思いましが、どうしても諦めきれず、本社に在庫が残っていないか問い合わせたところ、彼らの答えは『ＹＥＳ』…
そして再び手に入れた指輪は、何とその2日後にはまたしても仕事中に紛失してしまいました。
それはそうでしょう。
だって節目でもなんでもなかったのですから。
きっと縁がなかったのでしょうね。
物事に執着しないのは理想的ですが、なかなか難しいものです。
でも、自由でいたければ、去るものは追わずの姿勢が一番良いのでしょう。

Serge Thoraval is one of the artists I admire and respect deeply.
The French artist is famous for the series of accessories which have poetic words engraved on.
He sadly deceased in a motorcycle accident, 1999.
I used to have three silver rings of Serge Thoraval which I saved up and bought for myself as a special celebration for a start of every new phase of my life.
Last month, I lost one of the rings while I was working.
I was so sad and couldn't even believe the fact I lost it.
I looked for the same ring at the shop I bought, but they didn't have the same design any longer as the atelier might stop making the design.
I almost gave up to find it as the shop clerk kindly said to me that loosing your favorite accessory means it took a bad luck away from you by disappearing.
But I couldn't forget about my ring, so I inquired at the main office if they still have any stock left. And their answer was YES.....
Thus "the ring " has returned on my finger, but few days after, I lost it once again at work.
Of course, I guess, as it wasn't for a new phase of my life or anything at all.
I guess it wasn't mean for me.
It is ideal never to be attached to things deeply, but I know it's hard to do so.
But, if you wanted to stay free, it's better not to run after the one who leaves.
