from Paris

お友達のゆりちゃんが、パリからハガキを送ってくれました。
文面から、彼女の興奮がひしひしと伝わってきました。
なにしろ彼女にとっては初めてのヨーロッパ旅行なのですから。
数日ですが、ニースとベルリンへも足を伸ばしたようです。
私も彼女と一緒に行きたかった！

驚いたのは、ゆりちゃんはまだパリでクロワッサンとカフェ・オ・レを食べていないと言うのです。
私がパリを訪れたのはもうはや10年近く前で、フランスのクロワッサンの美味しさにひたすら驚きました。
あまりの美味しさに、フランス以外ではクロワッサンを口にしないとまで決心するに至り、そしてそれは正しい決心でした。
ゆりちゃんが、本格派のバターを使って焼きあげられた三日月型のパンを美味しく食べられるように願っています。

Breakfast in Paris...
パリで朝食を...

My friend Yuriko sent me a post card from Paris. 
I could easily see her excitement from the card as it's her very first time in Europe.
She made a short trip to Nice and Berlin, too.
I wish I could go with her!

To my surprise, Yuriko was saying that she still hasn't tried croissant and café au lait yet in Paris!
I visited Paris almost 10 years ago and I was amazed deliciousness of French croissant.
It made me decide I won't touch any croissant if I was not in France.
And it was a right decision.
I hope Yuriko enjoy the crescent moon shape bread baked with proper rich butter.
