去年の9月から友人の美保さんのウェディング・ドレスをデザインし、作っていました。
彼女とは、新郎共にイギリスの大学時代からの友人。
国内と海外、たくさんの友人たちに囲まれた、素晴らしい式と披露宴でした。
友人、ともちゃんの勤めるお店で見立ててもらった靴を魅せるために、ドレスの丈はふくらはぎの真ん中あたり、1950’ｓの『マッド・メン』スタイルに。
美保さんがとてもドレスを気に入ってくれていたので、笑顔も最高。皆さんからもご好評を頂きました。やはり、使う人が嬉しくなる物を作ることは大事だと、改めて学びました。
ケルヴィンと美保さん、本当にお似合いの2人でした。

I've been designing and making a wedding dress for my friend Miho since last September.
I've known both bride and groom since the art college in UK.
The wedding ceremony and the reception, which were attended by many friends from both Japan and other countries, were wonderful.
I decided to cut the skirt length at the middle of the calf like a 1950's MAD MEN style to show off the heels which were chosen at a shoe shop where Miho's friend works.
Miho loved the dress and that brought the best smile on her face on the wedding day.
Many of her friends gave me great comments about the dress. Once again, I learnt the impertinences of making something to make the user happy.
Kelvin and Miho, they were a perfect couple.Best wishes for your future!
