Apple Magic workshop report

ずいぶんと遅い報告となりましたが、The Three Flying Witches 空飛ぶ三人の魔女 によるりんご染めワークショップAPPLE MAGIC! レポートです。

五月五日、快晴の奈良。
vanamにてワークショップは行われました。

まずはAcoによるりんご園の案内。

色をいただくりんごの木たちにごあいさつ。

その後はりんご染め。そして最後にみんなで春の山菜たっぷりの里山ごはんをいただきました。

剪定されたりんごの枝は、まだ生きています。
だから枝からピンクの色素が頂けるのです。
ちょっとした化学反応の手助けを借りるのもなんだか魔法のようで楽しい。

みなさんに喜んでいただけて、魔女たちもほっとしました。
今後も季節を感じられるワークショップやイベントをお届けしていきたいと思います。

It's been a long time ago, but this is a report about The Three Flying Witches' Apple Dye workshop APPLE MAGIC!

Fifth of May, a very sunny day in Nara.
The workshop was held at vanam.

First, Aco took everyone to an apple farm.
We greeted the apple trees we got coloring matter from.
After that, we all did apple dye. We had lunch with lots of spring mountain herbs and edible wild plans in the end.

The apple tree twigs which had been pruned were still alive.
So that's why we can take coloring matters from them.
And also we borrow a little help of a chemical reaction made us feel like we were doing some magic and that was fun.

Everyone enjoyed the nice day and we three witches were happy.
We'd like to continue holding workshops and events which people can feel seasons.

セルビアからイギリスの大学で衣装を共に学んだ同級生が、フィアンセと共に来日しました。

関西空港へ迎えに行き、到着を待っている間も彼女たちが日本に来ることに実感が湧かずにいました。しかし懐かしい顔がゲートから現れて、私も笑顔に。

つい昨日会ったかのようにいたずらっぽい笑顔を見せてくれたアレックス。会った途端に前からずっと知っていたかのように打ち解けて話せるフィアンセのルカ。

小さいころからずっと憧れていたという日本に、3年越しのプランを立てて来てくれました。

関西から広島を経て東京を回る約2週間のプレ・ハネムーン。

そんなにも私たちの文化を愛してくれるなんて、感激です。

良い旅になりますように、とただそれだけを思いながら、色々と案内しています。

One of my friends I studied costume at a uni in UK has been visiting Japan with her fiancé from Serbia.

I went to Kansai Airport to pick them up, but I couldn't feel that they were actually coming. But as soon as my eyes caught the familiar face, I smiled.

Alecks showed me the same mischievous smile as if we saw each other yesterday. 
Luka, her fiancé made me feel like I knew him for a ling time even it was the very first time to meet him.

For three years, they had been planning this visitation to Japan, which they had been wanting to come since they were kids.
It's sort of a 2-week-pre-honeymoon, which starts from Kansai area to Hiroshima and to Tokyo.
I'm so moved by their love for our culture.
I've been wishing their trip will be a great one.

A foot Pilates and a holistic Pilates

こんにちは。Gingerです。

私は大阪でピラティスのお仕事をしていますが、グランフロント大阪にあるロート製薬のsmartcampホリスティックラボの新たなメンバーとしてのお仕事が始まりました。

ロート製薬smartcampは、セラミック栽培の菜園『旬穀旬菜ファーム』、その菜園で採れたての野菜を使った薬膳フレンチレストラン『旬穀旬菜』、そして頭から爪先までのトータルケアを受けられる『ホリスティックラボ』の複合施設です。
私はホリスティックラボにてフットピラティスと、ホリスティックピラティスを担当しています。
私は水曜日と木曜日の夜におりますので、よろしければお立ち寄りくださいませ。（予約が必要ですが…。）

エクササイズだけではなく、身体のケアの仕方や日々の過ごし方のアドバイスなんかできるトレーナーでありつづけたいです。

Hello, it's Ginger.

I've been teaching Pilates in Osaka. And I've newly joined in a team of Holistic LAB at smartcamp by Rohto Group Corperate.

Smartcamp consists of three facilities. Shunkoku-Shusai farm, which cultivates vegetables with ceramics without using any soils. French restaurant Shunkoku-Shusai, which uses medical cooking method and the vegetables from the Shunkoku-Shunsai farm next door. The restaurant's name means "grains and vegetables which are in season". And the Holistic LAB is a place you can receive various kinds of treatments from top to toe.
I'm in charge of Foot Pilates and Holistic Pilates sessions.
I'll be in on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, so if you are interested in, please stop by. Though you need to make a reservation...  

I want to keep updating myself as a trainer who can teach you not only exercises but also can give customer an advice about how to care your body and how to spend a day.

数えきれないほどの出会い、見たこと、感じたこと、その経験のすべてをここに書くのは無理なのでしょう。せめては、少しでも私たち三人の魔女たちが体験したことをお伝えしたくてスパイス魔女修行日記を綴ってきました。

春の雨を避けるように、4月初めの1週間を暑いインドで過ごした日々。帰ってきてしばらくは毎日スパイス料理を作り、帰国後すぐに始まったアーユルヴェーダの講座のせいもあって、私のインド熱はなかなか冷めずにいます。
梅雨の始まりにいる今は、あのインドでの日々が遠い昔のことのように思えるのですが、やはりジェズナのキッチンで学んだお料理を作ったり、スパイス屋さんで買ったスパイスを使ったり、こうしてブログを書いて写真を選んだりしていると、鮮明に記憶がよみがえります。

昔から憧れて、行きたくて行きたくてしょうがなかったインド。でも、あまりにも文化が強烈なので、行って嫌いになってしまわないかと心配していました。
そんな長年の不安を払拭してしまうほど、大好きになったインド。

今はアーユルヴェーダの勉強と共に、これまでピラティスと共に学んできた東洋医学の知識、私の好きな神社仏閣や神話の内容が、うまくつながって面白いです。
次にまたインドへ行けるのはいつになるのかわかりませんが、インドのことをもっともっと知りたいと思ったスパイス魔女修行の旅でした。

Uncountable people we met, what we saw and what we did. It's impossible to write everything we experienced in India. At least I wanted to tell things we three witches experienced, so I've been writing this Spice Witch Training Diary.

As if we avoided the spring rain, we spent hot days in India during the first week of April. After I came back to Japan, I couldn't help myself cooking with spice for a while and also my Ayurveda class had began few days after our return, so my zeal for India haven't been cooled down yet.
We are now at the beginning of a rainy season and I finally feel like those days in India were a long time ago, but every time I cook Jezna's recipe, use spice from the shop in Kochi, and write an article and pick pictures for this blog, my memories come back with blight colors.

India had been a dream place to visit for many years. But I was scared of disliking India for its strong culture once I have actually been there.
My worry had vanished as if it wasn't even there from the beginning. I love India.

At the moment, it's interesting to see my study of Ayurveda has been linking with my knowledge of Oriental medicine which I've been learning with Pilates, and Japanese shrines and temples and mythologies which I like a lot.
I have no idea when I can visit India next time yet, but this Spice Witch Study trip made me want to know India more and more.
