photo exhibition

久しぶりのお休み、兄と一緒にお出かけしてきました。

鋤田正義さんの写真展『鋤田正義写真展SOUND&VISION+きれい』を観に心斎橋BIGSTEPへ。
鋤田さんはデヴィッド・ボウイやYMO、イギー・ポップの写真などで世界的に有名な写真家。
今回は大阪で観られるのでとっても楽しみにしていました。

アーティストのポートレート以外の写真を観たことがなかったので、白黒で風景や物を撮った作品たちが印象的でした。
ボウイの写真の展示室ではさすがに大興奮しましたが、全体的に鋤田さんの写真を初期のものから最近のものまで観られたのは嬉しかったです。

兄とベトナム料理のお昼を食べたり、ちょっとした用事にも付き合ってもらったり。
兄とゆっくりと演劇のこと、演出のこと、人の表現力や知覚力、度量のことなど色々な話をゆっくりとすることができました。
夜はリンパ・マッサージを取り入れたピラティスのクラスの仕事に行きましたが、なかなか有意義な休日でした。

 

少しばたばたしていた1月ももう終ろうとしています。
なんだか最近は自分の体が時間や仕事の流れの速さについていけていない気がしてます。
体調を崩した理由もそこにあるんだろうなと、自分で勝手に納得しているのですが・・・。
落ち着いて座って、お茶を飲んだり、気持ちの落ち着く人と話す時間ってとっても大切ですね。
こうして好きなアーティストの展覧会に行ったりするのって、最高です。

Bowie!!

 

Today was my day-off after a long while.

I went out with my brother.

We went to BIGSTEP in Shinsaibashi, Osaka to see Masayoshi Sukita's photo exhibition "SOUND & VISION + Qui-Ray".
Mr. Sukita is worldly well- known for his portrait works of David Bowie, YMO(Yellow Magic Orchestra), and Iggy Pop and other artists.
I was really looking forward to seeing this exhibition coming over to Osaka.

I'd never seen any of his works except portraits of artists before, so his black and white photographs of scenery and still-life left a fresh impression on me.
I was super excitd in Bowie's booth, but I was so glad I could see Sukita's works from his early ones till recent ones.

My brother and I had Vietnamese for lunch and he kindly kept company at my little business to be done.
We could spend relaxed time talking about theatre art, stage direction, and one man's power of expression, perception, and gengerocity.
I went to teach Pilates with lymph massage class in the evening, but it was a very beneficial day-off to me.


I've been a little busy this month but it's almost over.
I've been feeling like that my body is not catching up with the speed of time and works of mine recently.
The reason why I was not well for last few weeks must be it...so I understand myself.
Calmly sitting down and having some tea and talking with someone you feel comfortable with is very important to us all.
Like today, going to my favorite artist'S show is great.

皆様あけましておめでとうございます。
Gingerです。

様々な出来事があった2013年ですが、やさしい人々に助けられ、見守って頂けたことは、とても幸運なことでした。
 

振り返ってみれば自分自身の反省や課題も多く、人間としてより誠実に、他者や自己に対して寛容に、心穏やかに、成長していきたいと思います。
 

皆様にとって素晴らしい一年になりますように。

A Happy New Year to you all.

It’s Ginger.

There were various events in 2013, but I was lucky enough to have lots of people who supported me kindly and also watched over me tenderly.

Looking back, I have so many things to reflect upon myself, and also so many things I must improve. I want to train my heart and be more honest and be generous to both others and to myself, be calm all the time, and grow up as a human.

I’m wishing all of you the best.
